Location : Boztepe Burnu is a promontory, shaped rather like a turkey's head, that protects the harbor of Sinop, one of the oldest ports of Turkey's Black Sea coast. Located at the tip of the promontory. Accessible by road.
Building : Lantern mounted on a concrete pedestal and attached to the seaward side of a small 1-story concrete keeper's house. Entire light house is white. This might be the original lighthouse covered by stucco.

Location : Bafra Burnu is the cape formed by the delta of the Kızılırmak (Red River), which drains a large part of central Anatolia. Located on the west side of the point of the delta near Sahilkent, about 20 km (13 mi) north of Bafra.
Building : Hexagonal pyramidal cast iron skeletal tower with lantern, gallery, enclosed 2-story watch room, and central cylinder. Entire lighthouse painted white.

It was constructed at the Ottoman Empire period in 1880 by the French constructor on delta where river Kızılırmak joins the sea, around Halisburnu region.
This is an important lighthouse for finding the course by vessels navigating around in this region. Iron pipe is constructed over piles due to its situation being on a delta. Tower construction is made of iron.
This lighthouse which was originally built to function with kerosene was converted to propane gas afterwards and it has been functioning with electricity currently. Its auxiliary power is still propane gas however it is currently provided an illumination with the electric lamp of 500 W.
In order to be seen from the long distance by strengthen the light source, four pieces cotodiyoptric cylinder lenses which has optical distance of 250 mm as a optic system has been used.
Quadrangle optical panels had placed on circular platform which float on bath of mercury. Fixed light source illuminates on focus and when the optic is rotated on the platform it will give out flashes during the period of rotation.
It has weight that move vertically down on steel wires in the tower. As the weight falls, so the clock is driven and when the weight reaches the bottom, the clock stops unless the weight is wound back up to the top of its travel. So the lighthouse keepers had to wind up their lighthouse optic clock with a large winding handle attached to the mechanism that was located immediately below the optical system. This system is look like clockwork mechanism at houses. Lighthouse keeper still winds mechanism in every three hours.
Above mentioned mechanism and optical panels has been under protection and still using in service. Lighthouse and guardian house is being under protection as national heritage by General Directorate of Coastal Safety and Salvage Administrations.
